Living in Steamboat is literally a dream come true. In 2002, life for my family took a major turn for the better. I semi-retired from my career as an Equity Trader, commuting to the New York City financial markets, my wife retired from her career as a teacher and we moved to Steamboat with our three daughters. Since then, we have never looked back. Steamboat is the best community we have ever experienced. The people, schools and recreational opportunities all combine to create a life most people only dream of. Work, schools, kids activities, snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, etc. all within 2 minutes of home is very unique.
Steamboat has also given me the opportunity to learn the nuances of a new market, Real Estate. Since moving to town in 2002 I have been investing in and developing property in the local area. My investments have included rental properties, vacant commercial land, vacant residential land, condo conversions and spec homes. From this experience, I found my passion for real estate is much greater than just passively investing. Studying and tracking the products on the market and trends in the market place is a favorite obsession.
As a realtor, my goal is to help my clients maximize their return in all of their real estate transactions. I joined Colorado Group Realty in 2007 and I have partnered with Owner/Broker Chris Paoli. My main responsibility is focusing on real estate sales. I grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey, graduated college at the University of Rhode Island and lived in the Caribbean for a couple years before trading my love of the ocean for my love of the mountains. Living in Steamboat Springs since 1996, married in 1998, raising 2 incredible daughters and being highly knowledgeable of the area, I understand the importance of finding the right real estate. I moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado from Montclair, New Jersey. My interest in real estate began in my early 20's when I began remodeling old homes and selling them. At the same time, and fulfilling my artistic side, I owned a beautiful salon and spa for 20 years. My dream was to live in a ski resort/ town with my husband and then 5 year old son. The key word being TOWN. My family and I enjoy extreme sports. Our idea of my son attending school and being able to do all the sports that are available here within a 10 minute commute was very appealing.
I am here personally because of all the sports --skiing, snowboarding, telemarking, skate skiing, ice skating/hockey, snowmobiling , ice-climbing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, dirt biking, rock climbing, all of which I have done or do. How fun it is! And how great it has been to do all these sports on a regular basis and form all of the good friends over the years that have shared the same lifestyle.
And, of course, the fun night life and social scene. Combining dining with full moon sleigh rides or powder cat skiing and snowboard runs--- to live bands and dancing at our favorite night spots. Summer boasts free live concerts, hot air ballooning and many downtown street events.
The activities for kids are abundant and many young families participate together at all the various events.
Hoping to bring people and families here to Steamboat to live and experience this wonderful natural and open environment is what I am all about.
